Aracadio Blasco is a multidisciplinary artist known in the history of Spanish Art, by introducing the ceramic material in Contemporary Spanish Art in the 50’s. As Painter and sculptor, he shared his studio with the group El Paso, was president of the First National Association of Spanish Artists and also spanish representative at the Venice Biennale of 1970. He was active against the Franco dictatorship (to the point of being imprisoned for his works) and has been awarded with the Prize of Fine Arts from the Generalitat Valenciana in 2005. His work has been exhibited in 21 countries and is part of the best museums and collections in Spain.
In 2008, the largest retrospective exhibition of his work has been organized, at the museum of the University of Alicante (MUA) under the title "Arcadio Blasco narrator of objects."
